Cubing Technique to Describe A Doll, Named Owly

Ada berbagai cara kita bisa menulis deskriptif, salah satu caranya adalah dengan Cubing teknik. Cara ini saya dapatkan dari Prof. Bambang Yudi C. pada matkul Teaching of Writing di semester 2 dulu. Lumayan, hasil tulisan saya mendapat nilai 80 or 85 (agak lupa… berapa nilai pastinya).

Berikut contoh dari tulisan deskriptif dalam satu paragraph dengan Cubing technique. Ada 6 parts yang harus ada dalam tulisan kita. Syarat yang harus diikuti adalah ke-enam parts harus ada baik ketika dikembangkan menjadi essay maupun satu paragraph saja. Syarat kedua harus dilakukan sesingkat-singkatnya layaknya kita main rubik, jadi Cubing Technique bisa digunakan sebagai brainstorming activity.

1. Describe it

By the time I got an owl doll, I received it like a little girl got her first present in her birthday party. I named this doll with Owly.

2. Compare it

This doll has replaced my previous dolls both the shape and its fluffy furs.

3. Associate it

This doll always reminds me of my beloved one. The two fluffy hands remind me of his warm protection. The two charming big eyes always remind me of his magic eyes.

4. Analyze it

Owly, as the name suggest, has two big eyes, brown furs and blue dots.

5. Apply it

Owly will accompany my bed times because I like to hold something while I’m sleeping

6. Argue against (for) it

I will always keep Owly as I will always love the one who gave it.
